Student Script

Good Evening ladies and gentleman. My name is Angel Alvarado and I would like to welcome you to this evening's Brazoswood choir concert.

This evening we will hear from multiple ensembles sing both classical and popular music. I know that your will enjoy hearing our choirs.

The choir does want to remind you that we request your respectful silence as we perform. It is important that we allow the choirs and soloist to be heard. Please turn off all cell phones and help to remind younger audience members to refrain from talking.

Solo Group:
Our concert begins this evening with Freshman Tenor, Layton Newman. Please welcome Layton.

Our next soloist is Freshman Soprano, Katherine Leidlein singing (Memories) from the musical Cats.

Choir 1:
The first choir performing this evening is the Brazoswood Concert Choirs. They will start their program with (Antiphonal Hosanna) by Alan Smith.

Please welcome Mr. Miller and our special guest accompanist for this evening, Ms. Mary Sinclair as they present Antiphonal Hosanna.

The choir's second number is (Promised Land) by Natalie Sleeth. Tonight we will feature several of our choir members as soloists. They are Matt Wallace, Tim Collins and Katherine Leidline.

Choir 2:
Our next ensemble this evening is the Brazoswood Chamber Choirs. They will open their portion with (Come To Me, O My Love) by Allan Petker.

The choir's second number is (Peace Begins With Me) by Mary Donnelly. We are especially pleased this evening to have one of our own choir members, Freshman “Livie Mullins” accompany the choir. She is just awesome.

Solo Group:
Our next soloist is Junior Kayli Jarosz. She will be singing (Honey Bun) from the musical South Pacific. Please make her feel welcome.

Next up is Senior, Julia White. She will be singing the Nora Jones song (Don't Know Why).

The Varsity ensemble will close their portion of the concert with Morten Lauridsen's (Sure On This Shining Night), which was one of their audition pieces for All-District Choir competition.
